We were drawn to the quality of the team, their deep domain expertise in financial services, and their early traction with forward-thinking clients. We believed then that they had what it would take to build something truly industry-defining. Seven years on, that conviction has been thoroughly vindicated.

What's remarkable about Upvest's journey is not just the scale they've achieved - processing over 100 million orders annually for more than 30 financial institutions including Revolut, N26, DKB, and Santander's Openbank -  but the clarity and discipline with which they have built the business. From a early-stage startup to becoming Europe's category-leading API-first investment infrastructure, every step has been deliberate, client-driven, and executed with the operational excellence we saw in the team from day one.

We are enormously proud of what Martin and the team have built, and genuinely excited about the next chapter. This $125 million financing round -  led by Sapphire Ventures and Tencent, alongside long-term investors Bessemer Venture Partners and BlackRock - is a powerful endorsement of Upvest's position and momentum and we are pleased to invest again continuing our longstanding support of this incredible team. The expansion into pension products such as like Germany's Altersvorsorgedepot, and UK ISAs and SIPPs, as well as expanding into France, combined with AI-driven wealth solutions, puts Upvest at the centre of how the next generation of Europeans will invest.
