Johann Friederich

I was born and raised in Hamburg (Germany), as anyone from there will gladly tell you, the most beautiful city in the world. As the youngest of four in an entrepreneurial family, I learned most of what stuck by watching the people around me.

My first bachelor in business administration left me wondering about the brilliant minds behind big ideas. So, passionate to understand the science behind human motivation, I went on to study psychology in Amsterdam and Seoul, with an opportunity to deepen my understanding through research at New York University.

That same interest is what brought me to venture. Having participated in the growth journey of Europe's leading B2B mental health platform in Amsterdam, I switched sides and moved into early-stage investing in Berlin. At Notion I now focus on DACH, and I am genuinely excited to meet the individuals who are actively shaping the future.

The fuel for my positive energy is my passion for sport, particularly anything involving a ball, & spending time with my baby nieces and nephews when I’m back at home in Germany.
