Pricilla Nagashima

I've been building AI systems since 2014 - doing NLP before LLMs were a thing. I have conducted academic research in natural language understanding and led on global products and projects that adopt computer vision, sensor networks, and reinforcement learning for safety-critical environments at scale. AI has never been abstract to me. It's always been something that must work in the real world, for real customers, under real constraints.

My experience spans several industries: from intelligent traffic systems and autonomous vehicles at Siemens, live music ticketing at DICE, fintech at Pleo, and plenty in between - leading engineering, product, data and AI teams that build the systems and products those companies rely upon.

I founded Hatch in 2026 to bring my depth of expertise as a practitioner to companies at every stage of the AI journey: from data & tech strategy to agentic system design, AI enablement and the commercial discipline of making AI investment pay off. I've advised investors, founders, and C-suite leaders on the most important decisions as AI reshapes how technology companies are built, mentored founders through Techstars in North America and directly via Hatch in EMEA. In tandem, I am also the founder of She/They Data, a global peer community for women and non-binary people in data and AI.

I hold an MSc in Software Engineering with an ML specialism from Oxford University and have spoken at over 250 events across 13 countries, including at TEDx Oxford, CES Vegas and SXSW Austin.

At Notion Capital, I work with the Platform team and portfolio founders to help them turn AI ambition into commercial reality, from getting the foundations right and deploying agentic systems that hold up in production, to helping leadership teams make smarter decisions about where AI actually creates value.
