Natasha Basset

I joined as Notion’s in-house lawyer in April 2026. I cover a broad range of legal matters, including working with our Investment Team on new investments, advising on fundraising, and supporting the Notion team and our portfolio companies with day-to-day queries.

Prior to Notion, I worked as a corporate lawyer at Freshfields and Mishcon de Reya, including secondments to Tokyo and Mumbai. I then moved in-house as General Counsel of two venture-backed B2B SaaS businesses, Splyt Technologies and INSTANDA, before crossing to the venture side as General Counsel at Unbound. The operational experience from my time working in start-ups informs my understanding of the legal and commercial challenges faced by our portfolio companies today.

Outside of work you will find me on the yoga mat (I am a qualified teacher), drinking wine or travelling somewhere off the beaten track — just before joining Notion I completed a round the world trip including Madagascar, China, French Polynesia and Guatemala.
