Mathieu Ayel

Mathieu Ayel is a Product leader, an advisor and a recovering founder with 20 years in product development, the last decade scaling Enterprise startups. He helps founders accelerate growth by turning technical vision into repeatable customer value.

He has helped build and scale early-stage startups across multiple industries from video games to insurance, from semiconductors to drug discovery. This breadth of experience, rooted in an early background in machine learning, enabled him to take learnings from how engineers build and operate multiplayer game worlds to help scientists design, plan and run more powerful experiments in early drug discovery.

He is passionate about shortening the learning loop between customers and builders, and aligning builders and sales to deliver on shared business outcomes. He built the Product function from scratch and scaled the Product & Engineering organisation at Improbable and Tractable. He helped accelerate growth at Tractable by going global early and launching new markets in Europe, Asia, Latin America and the Middle East. He led Synthace to focus its digital experiment platform and ship faster to grow ARR and TCV while streamlining headcount.

At Notion Capital he works with the Platform team and portfolio founders to scale beyond founder-led Product. He partners with the Product leaders to learn from common challenges, share knowledge and build connections across the community.
