Founded on 15th August 2023 and headquartered in London, TERN was co-founded by Avinav Nigam (UK) and Krishna Ramkumar (India). CEO Avinav Nigam and COO Krishna Ramkumar bring a wealth of experience in scaling consumer-to-business marketplaces, with Avinav having co-founded IMMO (PropTech, €2Bn capital under management) and held leadership roles at Cars24 ($3Bn), P&G, & DIsney+, while Krishna has led at Urban Company ($3Bn), BCG, Nexus Venture Partners, and co-founded Avanti, a pioneering education social enterprise.

Avinav Nigam is the Founder and CEO of TERN Group, a UK-headquartered AI clinical workforce platform he launched in 2023 after a career spanning multiple continents, leading roles at global technology and consumer companies. An IIT Bombay alumnus in Chemical Engineering, Nigam has described his alma mater as the place that taught him that intelligence alone does not solve problems - persistence does. That ethos has defined the audacious scope of what he is building at TERN.
Krishna Ramkumar is an education entrepreneur with a diverse background in non-profit management, consulting, and a passion for science. He holds a degree in Integrated M.Sc., Chemistry from Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, and has completed programs in Synthetic Systems Biology and Virology at renowned institutions like National Center for Biological Sciences and The Rockefeller University. Krishna has played key roles in various organisations, including serving as the Co-Founder & COO of TERN Group, Co-Founder of Avanti Learning Centres, Senior Vice President of Business at LoadShare Networks, Vice President of Business at Urban Company, and as a Co-Founder at Avanti Fellows. His experience also includes a position as a Senior Associate at The Boston Consulting Group.
